The following documentation will detail the workflow of a direct debit mandate in association with the loan.

Awaiting Signature

After creation the direct debit mandate will remain in this status until it is signed.
It may advance to:
  • Signed

Signed

When the signed PDF is received, the mandate status will briefly be changed to Signed, until the files are sent to the direct debit mandate provider.
It may advance to:
  • Awaiting Activation

Awaiting Activation

The direct debit mandate is placed in this status until Lidya receives an Approval/Rejection signal from our direct debit provider. Usually this takes up to 48 business hours.
It may advance to:
  • Active
    • Upon reception of a bank approval
  • Rejected
    • Upon reception of a rejection from the provider/bank
  • Declined
    • Upon reception of a rejection from the provider/bank and the maximum defined signature retries have been reached

Active

The direct debit reaches Active state when it is ready to start collections.
It may advance to:
  • Canceled
    • On user request
  • Expired
    • Upon receiving a signal from the provider indicating the direct debit mandate is no longer active

Expired

The direct debit mandate might reach this status if the requested time frame has come to an end and the full amount is yet to be collected.
This is a terminal state.

Rejected

The direct debit mandate might reach this status when it fails activation and the number of signature retries has already been reached.
This is a terminal state.

Canceled

The direct debit mandate reaches this status when it was activated but the user requested it to be canceled.
This is a terminal state.
